The Lynnfield Center Water District Board of Commissioners invites the community to attend a public hearing on the District’s 2022-2023 budget and water rates for the coming year.
The hearing will be held on Monday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in the H. Joseph Maney Room at Lynnfield Town Hall. All Lynnfield residents are welcome, whether they are ratepayers or not. The hearing will be opened to public comment and questions. Interested parties also may submit testimony in writing.
Masking is now optional in Lynnfield town buildings.
Commissioners will vote on the 2022-2023 budget, and set volumetric rates. LCWD raises its revenue through volumetric rates and an assessment on individual real estate bills. This money is used to help fund the District’s priorities and support the cost of long-term capital projects.
Commissioners also remind the community that a Special District Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m., at the Merritt Center, 600 Market St. Voters will be asked to consider articles to address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a bottled water rebate program, the District’s ongoing construction projects, and proposed changes to the District charter.
The warrant for that meeting can be found here.
